My story

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 2015. I then pursued my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University where I graduated in 2017.  I am now a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. I hold clinical licenses in both Kansas and Missouri and am a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor for MFTs in Kansas. I am certified in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and am a member of ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally-Focused Therapy). I am currently a board member of the Queer-Affirming Therapist Guild of Kansas City and of Kansas City EFT.

My personal self-care includes exercising, reading, and keeping a gratitude journal. I love traveling and doing just about anything that involves spending time with my spouse and our children. I also love trying new restaurants and coffee shops with friends and exploring new walking trails. Some of my other favorite ways to spend time include crocheting and being creative with my Cricut.

Meet Journey

Journey Rose is a tiny goldendoodle and is my office-mate.
She regularly comes to the office
with me to enhance the environment. Journey also wanted to make sure I added that she is non-shedding and hypoallergenic!
